A man riding a mini-bike the wrong way on a one-way street Sunday afternoon slammed into a car at an intersection, knocking out several of his teeth and causing critical head injuries, police said. The man, who turned 21 Monday, was not wearing a helmet during the 1:58 p.m. crash at East 25th Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to police. He had been riding an 80-cc mini-bike northbound on Chestnut when he hit the passenger side of an eastbound 2013 Hyundai, which was lawfully in the intersection, police said. His body dented in the door several inches, police said. Police found several of his teeth on the asphalt. The occupants of the Hyundai were not hurt, said police Sgt. Bill Mahoney. Police did not identify the victim, who lived in the neighborhood.

Although the victim may have been going the wrong way on Chestnut the driver had to be speeding with the kind of skid marks that where left in the street
