Overturned semi causes lane closures on I-70 E

KANSAS CITY, Mo. '€“ An overturned semi caused eastbound lanes of I-70 to close on Tuesday during rush hour. A semi overturned and lost its load on I-70 east at the Jackson curve. As of 5 p.m. only one lane was open, east of downtown on I-70 headed toward the stadium, and traffic was barely moving as a result. MoDOT says it's going to be a long rush hour for those who live east, and warns it could be hours before I-70 is clear and reopened. It is recommended drivers take 435 as an alternate route if you can.
