Carol Barnes, 81, killed when vehicle strikes restaurant on Limit Avenue in Sedalia, Missouri

Sedalia police said the man was driving south on Limit Avenue when it left the east side of the road, traveling through business frontage before hitting several trees, handrails and eventually the Wendy’s.

Police identified the woman who died as 81-year-old Carol Barnes. Barnes’ husband, Don Barnes, a retired local judge, was also injured, and remains in intensive care at a local hospital Tuesday evening.
