Serious accident closes all four lanes of US 61 in Palmyra

Palmyra, Mo. A serious accident involving a tractor trailer and at least one passenger vehicle closed down all four lanes of traffic in front of the Wilco Fast Break in Palmyra on Wednesday, Aug. 26. A tractor trailer and what appeared to be a Chevrolet crossover SUV were involved in a traffic accident that caused the tractor trailer to overturn, blocking both southbound lanes of traffic. Northbound traffic is being rerouted around the accident scene. It was unclear if more than two vehicles were involved in the crash as of 4:30 p.m.
