UPDATE: Fatal crash victim identified

"There does not appear to be any skid marks or anything. It does appear that in the snow and to the east ditch that the vehicle did travel, but we don't have any indication of brakes or skidding or anything like that," Houchin says. 
Steven Strauss of Garland, Nebraska died after crashing his car into a tree near 68th Street and Roca Road after veering off the road and going down a deep ditch. First responders were called to the scene just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, but it's unknown exactly when the accident occurred.
