Lerosha Vaneese Forrest, 35, dead and Ronnie Forrest, 43, severely injured after two car collision at 52nd Street and Farnam Street in Omaha, NE

Lerosha Vaneese Forrest was driving north on 52nd street at about 5:30pm and was illegally passing cars that were stopped at a red light. She eventually entered the intersection with Farnam Street and was hit in the rear by a westbound car on that road, which sent her car off of the roadway where it collided with a tree. Lerosha was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger in her vehicle, Ronnie Forrest, 43, was hospitalized with critical head injuries. Fortunately, neither a 1-year-old girl that was in a car seat in Forrest's vehicle nor the driver of westbound vehicle were harmed. Police are asking witnesses with any information to 402-444-5627.
