Police said an investigation indicates the motorcyclist was riding eastbound on Sunset when he lost control, missed a curve, veered too far left and struck the curb of the center median.

Henderson police were called to the scene of a motorcycle crash at about 5:45 p.m.Friday on East Sunset Road near Boulder Highway. It appears that the motorcyclist, Jesus Munguia of Henderson, missed a curve and struck a median, at which point he lost control of the motorcycle. He was thrown from the cycle and struck a light pole. Munguia died at the scene.
