Our family is devastated, we are beyond deeply saddened. I ask everyone to pray for us, please! This is a very difficult time and a senseless tragedy that we are trying to understand.

IM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR LOVED ONE , I BET SHE WAS A WONDERFUL LOVING GIRL WHO. HAD ALOT TO LIVE FOR AND WAS TAKEN. SO YOUNG =( MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES GO OUT TO ALL AFFECTED BY THIS GREAT LOSS.....MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ....GOD BLESS......xoxox.........=)

Sorry for the delay in response, just saw your post. Thank You So Much for the sweet note. It has been very difficult. We are taking one day at a time. Thanks Again!

We have a clearer understanding of what occurred on that Sunday evening. Our much loved family member was murdered, vehicular homicide. She was a single mother, an only daughter, an only niece, cousin, friend to many and a one of a kind hair stylist. She was killed by another driver who hit her head-on while under the influence of Ambien. It saddens me to report to this day the lady who took her life has not been convicted or spent any real time in jail (to my knowledge, booked & released shortly after, no more than a formality). We are still trying to pick up the pieces after her loss to provide her young child a healthy, stable and nurturing life as possible. The other driver has not as much offered our family an apology. It breaks my heart everyday seeing her BEAUTIFUL child carry a hole in her heart over the loss of her mother. She will go through being a kindergartner, 1st grader thru teenager to graduation and college without her mother, wedding day without her mother and so, so MUCH more!!! Nevada citizens need to take a stand for more SEVERE punishment for those who are found driving under the influence!!! If people are not held responsible for their actions, these type of senseless tragedies will continue!!! I would not wish the grief of our family on anyone. Most people do not think about it until it happens to them. At that point, it is too late and you wish you had taken a stand on stricter laws against driving under the influence of alcohol / drugs. It is vehicular homicide NOT wreck less driving or improper lane change. Don't sugar coat it, call it what it is, get serious and prosecute them to the fullest.
