The two-vehicle crash happened on the 215 Beltway at about 5 a.m., when the male driver of a Mazda sedan driving eastbound near the Fifth Street exit crossed the center median and crashed into a Cadillac Escalade headed west on the Beltway, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Both occupants of the Escalade and the driver of the Mazda were killed. No one else is believed to have been in the Mazda, and the driver of that vehicle is suspected of DUI.
