Woman in critical condition after Friday night DUI crash downtown
Just after 7 p.m. Friday, a Dodge Magnum 4-door wagon ran a red light crossing Maryland Parkway and struck a Ford Mustang turning left from Charleston Boulevard, police said.
The Dodge then struck a traffic signal post and a pedestrian who was waiting to cross the street.

“We were waiting for a light. He came out of nowhere. I don’t know what he was thinking. I don’t know whether he thought the light had turned green. He just hit the gas, but it was something that could have been taken care of down at the corner. If he would have waiting this would not have happened,” the witness said.
