A driver is in critical condition after his semitruck crashed Saturday afternoon on southbound U.S. Highway 95 near Eastern Avenue.
The semitruck driver was ejected in the crash, which left the truck jackknifed and happened about 1:03 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Buratczuk said. The man is in critical condition at University Medical Center.
The jackknifed semitruck blocked two right travel lanes; one lane remains open. All U.S. 95 southbound traffic is closed at Las Vegas Boulevard. Vehicles are being diverted off at Las Vegas Boulevard while the Nevada Highway Patrol investigates, Buratczuk said.
