Police: Alcohol, speed factors in North Las Vegas fatal crash

Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in a crash in North Las Vegas that killed a driver Thursday night, police said. According to North Las Vegas police, a car, driven by 49-year-old Nicolas Lugo, was traveling west on Carey when it crashed into a sport utility vehicle that was making a U-turn from eastbound Carey. The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue. Witnesses at the scene told FOX5 that it appeared Lugo'€™s vehicle ran a red light at the intersection, which resulted in the crash.
