Police said Melissa S. Gildersleeve, 28, of Massachusetts., suffered life-threatening injuries when her car went off Currier Road and struck a tree around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Her passenger, identified only as a 25-year-old man, was able to free himself before emergency crews arrived. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said it's not clear what caused the crash but believe excessive speed may have been a factor.
