John Johnson, 58, and Heidi Johnson, 57, killed and wrong-way driver Ryan Kittredge, 31, injured in collision on Route 101 in Epping, New Hampshire
Investigators said Ryan Kittredge, 31, of Derry, was driving a Dodge pickup truck on Route 101 West and made a U-turn on the same side of the highway and began driving the wrong way. Kittredge then collided head-on with a Chevrolet Impala, killing the two people inside, police said.
Purple and black bunting has been hung outside police headquarters in Townsend in honor of Johnson, who was retired but continued to work as a reserve officer.
Funeral services will be held Friday at St. John’s Church, located at 1 School St. in Townsend, at 11 a.m., followed by a burial in Hillside Cemetery.
The judge ordered Kittredge held without bail, noting Kittredge’s “wildly reckless conduct” and two previous DUIs.
