The driver of the UPS truck involved in the accident was not a UPS employee, but was driving the vehicle to a repair facility in Tilton, police said.

Kyle Matthews of Wonalancet was pronounced dead at the scene before 10 p.m. by Tamworth emergency crews. Police said they initially came upon two stopped UPS trucks at the scene on Route 16. One of the trucks had struck Matthews as he came darting out from the woods and into the path of the truck. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
