Monica Stroud, 59, killed, after her car collides with a pickup, driven by a 30-year-old man, at the intersection of Bryant Road and Main Street in Ocean Township.

A 59-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in the Waretown section of Ocean Township on Tuesday evening, police said. She was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon east on Bryant Road when it collided with a pick-up truck just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, police said in a news release. Monica Stroud of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey was identified as the victim, according to a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. The crash with a southbound 2001 Dodge Ram occurred in the Main Street intersection. Stroud was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River, where she was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 30-year-old man, was not injured.
