State police say a truck driver died several hours after he was ejected from and run over by his own vehicle during a crash on a northern New Jersey highway.

Joseph Molinari was driving a truck westbound on Route 80 when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a car in another lane, then hit a barrier. The door of the cab of the truck came open during the crash, and Molinari was ejected and then run over by his own truck. He was taken to a hospital and died during surgery. There were two people in the car that was hit by his truck, but they did not suffer any injuries.
