Man killed when car hits pole in north New Jersey
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities said it did not appear that any other vehilces were involved in the accident.

Stephen M. Frances was driving on Ratzer Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole. He was conscious after the crash but complained of pain, so he was sent to a local medical center where his condition worsened until he died later that day.
