Stolen-truck driver crashes, kills woman picking up grandson from school
He said she was driving through Coors and Tower on Thursday to pick up her grandson from school, but she never made it. “She’s always meticulous, on time. There’s something not right,” Paul said. Police broke the news to him that night: She died when the driver of a stolen pickup truck, Anthony Sanchez-Ramos, crashed into her car. Sanchez-Ramos died at the hospital, and investigators found drugs and a gun in the truck he’d been driving. Albuquerque Police said an officer just happened to be in the area and witnessed Sanchez-Ramos speed east on Tower when he ran a red light and hit Kathleen.
