“The investigators are going through the process of identifying witnesses and interviewing those witnesses so, again, we can put together the sequence of events that occurred that led up to this accident,” says New Mexico Sgt. Chad Pierce.

Police say they tried to pull over a vehicle that didn’t have its headlights on when it immediately took off, weaving in and out of traffic.

2 people killed in US 550 crash identified; had been pursued by police

New Mexico State Police have released more information on the crash that killed two people who drove head-on into traffic and hit another vehicle, closing US 550 south of San Ysidro for hours Thursday night into Friday morning.

According to investigators, Arriola was driving a Chevrolet Impala without headlights and weaving in and out of traffic. Santa Ana police initially followed the vehicle but then canceled the pursuit because it was getting too dangerous.
Arriola and Kauska were driving in a vehicle with it's head lights off, but when a police tried to pull them over they took off, dangerously driving around traffic. Eventually, their car cross into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on, the impact of which killed both Arriola and Kauska. Mills, another victim, was critically injured and flown to UNM hospital, though it is unclear which vehicle he was in.

Barbra was drunk and killed mom and as much as I would love to blame somebody and take it out on them it was as Babarba's fault.
