Motorcyclist dies after hitting deer
A Stanley man on a motorcycle died late Friday after running into a deer, according to New Mexico State Police.
Ike Dickmeyer, 55, was killed in the crash that happened around 11:15 p.m. at mile marker 11 on N.M. 344, north of Edgewood.
State Police said the preliminary investigation shows that Dickmeyer was going south on N.M. 344 when the collision happened. He died from his injuries at the scene.
