According to NMSP, alcohol was not a contributing factor and seatbelts were not used.
Two people were killed in a singe-vehicle accident near Socorro Thursday. A vehicle driven by Efren Rivera-Aleman was driving on I-25 when he lost control of the vehicle and overturned in the median. Two passengers, Augustine Bojoquez Derivera, 62, and Severo Bojorquez, 59, were pronounced dead on scene. Rivera-Aleman was taken to Socorro General Hospital for minor injuries and was later released.
