Jeep driver dies in collision with Niagara Sheriff Office patrol car - The Buffalo News

CAMBRIA – A man died and a woman was injured when a Niagara County Sheriff’s Office patrol car collided with a Jeep at an intersection Thursday night, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A witness to the crash said the patrol car slammed into the Jeep, which rolled several times. Anyone with information about that vehicle is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 438-3327. The man driving the Jeep was pronounced dead at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, deputies said. The collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m., at Ridge and North Ridge roads.

Driver killed, Sheriff’s Deputy hospitalized in crash

Investigators are still looking for another vehicle that was in the area at the time of the crash. Sheriff Voutour says about two miles away from the crash site, at the intersection of Route 93 and Route 425, a dark SUV pulled over and yielded to the deputy’s car as his lights were on. The driver of that vehicle could be a potential witness.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 438-3327.
