Robert Voelker, 58, killed when his car leaves roadway and strikes tree on Lakeshore Road in Hamburg, New York

Police in the Town of Hamburg are investigating a deadly car accident early Wednesday morning. Police say around 4:55 a.m. a vehicle was traveling east on Lakeshore Road when it went off the roadway. The car hit a tree and rolled over onto it's roof. The driver, 58-year-old Robert Voelker, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing their investigation. They say alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor.
