Driver’s foot slips onto gas pedal, gunning vehicle into Falls apartment.

A first-floor apartment in the Vincent Morello Senior Housing complex at 402 95th St. was condemned by the Niagara Falls building inspector after an 84-year-old woman drove her car into the building at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“She went right through” the wall, said a Police spokesperson, who noted that the driver, whose identity has not been released, told police that her foot slipped off the brake of her 2013 Dodge Avenger and onto the gas pedal.

The woman, a resident of another unit in the apartment complex, was not injured. The woman who lived in the damaged apartment also was not injured, and she is being moved to another apartment in the 80-unit senior housing complex, according to Munn.
