Critically injured motorcyclist identified as Lockport man

Moarales said Batt was headed south on Campbell Boulevard after 7 a.m. when the driver of the car turned into his path.
A 33-year-old Lockport man remains in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center with head and back injuries suffered when his motorcycle collided with a car Monday morning on Campbell Boulevard at the intersection of Beach Ridge Road in Pendleton. The motorcyclist was identified today as Nicholas Batt, according to Victor Morales, public information officer for the state police. Moarales said Batt was headed south on Campbell Boulevard after 7 a.m. when the driver of the car turned into his path. Morales said Batt attempted to stop but slid into the path of the car. He was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. The unidentified female driver of the vehicle was not injured. State police are investigating and charges are likely to be filed, according to Morales. Campbell Boulevard was closed for about four hours.
