Questions arise after deadly hit and run in Penfield

Deputies are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or the fleeing vehicles to call 911.
Monroe County sheriff's deputies are looking for information in the search for three drivers thought to be involved in the hit-and-run crash that killed a Penfield woman on Empire Boulevard Saturday night. Amy Menz, 30, had some kind of argument with a family member Saturday night in a Creek Hill Apartments residence. She then ran toward Empire Boulevard, around 10 p.m., where witnesses saw Menz standing by the road  as though she was waiting for vehicles to go past. Menz then ran into traffic and was struck by three cars, the drivers of which briefly stopped but then quickly left the scene. It is not known why the drivers left the scene. The speed limit on Empire Boulevard in Penfield is 45 mph, but locals say the road is the site of frequent speeding.
