Body Found in Hudson River Appears to Be Missing Kayaker Ian Jones: Police

Authorities say a body recovered in the Hudson River at about noon Monday appears to be that of a kayaker missing since Saturday morning. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death and to confirm Ian Jones' identity. The man's body was found in the river near the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said. The search for Jones has been suspended until further notice, said the sheriff's office. It matches the description of 32-year-old Ian Jones, who's been missing since he and his girlfriend Tali Fruchtmann, 22, daughter of singer Annie Lennox, went into the water when their kayak overturned in the river.
