Two people were injured in a 10-car chain-reaction crash that snarled traffic on the Major Deegan Expressway Thursday morning, authorities said. The accident left a jagged procession of bumper-to-bumper cars blocking the highway's southbound lane near Mosholu Parkway about 6:20 a.m., Fire Department sources said. Two crash victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, one with minor injuries and the other with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Traffic was stopped completely along the Deegan's southbound lane and partially on the northbound side as emergency crews cleared the wreckage.
