At the point when Emergency responders arrived they found the officer lying in the roadway unconscious and unresponsive. On arrival at Brookdale Hospital the officer was pronounced dead.
An 35-year-old NYPD officer was killed in a motorcycle crash in Brooklyn. He was who was off-duty around 7 p.m. when the accident occured on Rockaway Parkway between Avenue J and Flatlands Avenue Monday. The officer was riding the motorcycle southbound when an SUV made a U-turn in front of him from the northbound lanes which caused the bike to crash into the vehicle's passenger side front door.
