One dead, 2 injured after SUV crashes into Long Island AT&T store: police

Witnesses described the 65-year-old driver as heard saying the "car won't stop" to her 25-year-old daughter seated in the passenger seat, Pix11 reported.

The SUV pinned a 66-year-old woman was sitting on a couch near the storefront when the vehicle came careening through the glass.  At least ten people worked together to lift the SUV off the victim, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said, where she later died. It was not clear if that victim was a worker or a customer.

A 65-year-old driver exclaimed "car won't stop" to her 25-year-old daughter sitting in the passenger seat of an SUV moments before it crashed into the AT&T storefront in Long Island. A 66-year-old woman was pinned under the vehicle. A group of customers and employees worked to lift the vehicle off of the woman to free her. She was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Two others inside the store recieved non-life threatening injuries. The driver and daughter were not injured.
