Teen killed, pedestrian seriously injured in chain-reaction crash in Suffern: police

A 2008 Honda, driven by 19-year-old Tzvi Hakakian of Monsey, was slowing down on the roadway, and negotiating a left into the driveway when it was struck by a Lexus, police said.

The 2016 Lexus, driven by 24-year-old Jonathan Mosqueta of Suffern, was attempting to maneuver around the Honda when the vehicles sideswiped each other, causing the Honda to continue east and the Lexus to veer left and into the two pedestrians, according to police.

That’s when police said a Lexus, driven by an off-duty Peekskill police officer identified as 24-year-old Jonathan Mosquera, tried to pass a Honda, driven by 19-year-old driven by Tzvi Hakakian, as he was turning into the driveway.
