College student, 18, dies in crash on western New York road

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says the woman was driving a car around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when she pulled into the path of tractor-trailer at an intersection on Route 63 near the SUNY Geneseo campus in the village of Geneseo.

Deputies said Savannah Williams, 18, was a freshman from Norwich, New York. She was a biochemistry major and a member of the Women’s Basketball team, the Geneseo Knights.
