Motorcyclist seriously injured after hitting tree in south Charlotte
One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in south Charlotte Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. near the intersection of South Quail Acres Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. Medic said one patient was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injuries.
The victim's name has not been released.
Officers at the scene said the person was driving a motorcycle when they struck a tree.
Police have not said what may have led to the wreck.
