A Pennsylvania man was killed in a crash Wednesday in Guilford County.

A Pennsylvania man was killed in a crash Wednesday in Guilford County.

Authorities with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Ted Johnson Parkway near Piedmont-Triad International Airport.

Investigators said Donald Dobransky, 46, was in the vehicle when it went off the road and into the treeline. They said speed was likely a factor in the crash.

An investigation is underway, and officials said no charges have been filed.

Police in Marion, Ind. responded to reports of a plane crash at the Marion Municipal Airport Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Officials with the Marion Police Department say the pilot made to police that he had crashed his plane and needed help.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the plane sitting on its top. Emergency responders were able to free the pilot and he was transported to Marion General Hospital with cuts and scrapes. Officials said he was expected to be released shortly after.

A woman from Minooka is dead following a crash in Hammond, Ind.

According to Hammond Police, a 23-year-old Hammond, Ind. man driving a GEO Tracker was southbound in the 3500 block of Sheffield around 2:15 a.m. Sunday when he crossed into the northbound lane, striking a Dodge Intrepid with four women inside.

A passenger in the Dodge was thrown from the vehicle and died. Two passengers were taken to Christ Hospital in Illinois with life-threatening injuries; the Dodge’s driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A 6-year-old boy was killed while trying to cross a busy Fulton County roadway with his brother on Sunday night.

The Fulton County Police Department stated that the boy was with his 16-year-old brother while attempting to cross Old National Highway near Jolly Road around 6:50 p.m. Sunday. The boys were standing in the center turn lane when the younger boy ran ahead of his brother, darting into the path of an SUV.

The boy, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene.

A head-on crash involving a semi and another vehicle killed one person in Shelby County this afternoon.

The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Ind. 44, near Old Franklin Road. Authorities suspect that the passenger vehicle and semi were traveling in opposite directions, when the driver of the passenger vehicle heading west drove into the direction of the eastbound semi.

The passenger vehicle’s driver, who has not been identified, was killed. The semi driver was not injured.

An 11-year-old boy who was struck by two cars when he walked across the street with a friend on Monday has died from his injuries.

Moses Galang was hit by a silver Honda and a van near Bruceville Road and Cosumnes River Boulevard on Monday. The Honda stayed at the scene.

The van is described as a white or light colored late 1970s to early 1980s Ford or Chevy full-size van with a raised roof cap. The cap is described as a camper or ice cream-type van top where the occupant can stand up inside. There is no description of the occupants, including the driver.
