Pedestrian dies after being hit on U.S. 29 on Sunday
Around 10:06 a.m., police responded to the crash, according to a police news release. Nicholas Burkhart, 25, of Lexington, was traveling in a 1997 Jeep Cherokee northbound on the highway when he hit the pedestrian.
