Arrest made in deadly Winston-Salem hit-and-run.

A woman was arrested in connection with a suspected hit-and-run collision that killed a man in Winston-Salem Wednesday night. The suspect vehicle was also recovered.

The incident was reported around 9:15 p.m. on North Cleveland Avenue near East 25th Street. Police said the victim, later identified as John Otis Hill, 44, was found about 2 1/2 miles away in the middle of the road at Kapp Street and Idlewild Industrial Drive. The victim was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he died. His name hasn't been released. The suspect vehicle briefly stopped after the collision but then kept driving north on North Cleveland Avenue, police said. The victim was trapped underneath the vehicle as the suspect drove away, police said. No other information was released. The investigation continues. UPDATE: The driver of the hit & run vehicle has been identified as Viola Demitria Spencer, 24, and has been arrested.
