Car crash claims the life of Scotland County man
A Scotland County man died in a car crash around 1:45 Sunday morning at the intersection of Lees Mill Road and Log Cabin Road near Laurinburg, according to a dispatcher with NC Highway Patrol.
The dispatcher said the man ran off the road.
At this time, no additional information is being released until the trooper's preliminary report is finished.

According to officials with North Carolina Highway Patrol, James Junior Voland, 30, of Laurinburg was driving near the intersection of Lees Mill Road and Log Cabin Road when he crossed the center line, overcorrected, ran off the left side of the road and a hit a tree.
Voland died in the crash, which happened around 1:45 a.m.
