School bus overturns in Nash County, driver charged.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says eight students were on a bus headed to Nashville Elementary School when it overturned around 7:30 Wednesday morning.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says eight students were on a bus headed to Nashville Elementary School when it overturned around 7:30 Wednesday morning. It happened on Boddie Mill Pond Road a mile west of NC-58 in Nash County. Troopers said the bus driver reported he had problems with the vehicle's steering system and he could not keep it under control. The bus went down an embankment and overturned in a ravine. The school district said six students were taken to Nash General Hospital to be checked out for minor injuries. Two students were taken to Nashville Elementary School by their parents. The bus driver was also taken to Nash General Hospital. Authorities later charged the bus driver, Domenick Battle of Rocky Mount, with "failing to maintain lane control" after the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles checked out the school bus and determined it was in working order.
