One killed in fiery wreck on NC 86 north of Hillsborough

The road could be blocked through the morning hours, according to state Department of Transportation officials said. A person who lives near the scene of the wreck said he saw the driver of the sedan get out of the vehicle after the incident. Troopers have not released any information about the cause of the wreck.

Hairston, 34, was taken to Duke University Hospital with serious injuries. He was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving with a revoked license and a stop sign violation.
