Brunswick school bus involved in accident, 2 students taken to hospital

An Early College High School/Brunswick County Academy school bus was involved in an accident early Tuesday morning, according to a spokesperson for the school district. (Source: Raycom Media) An Early College High School/Brunswick County Academy school bus was involved in an accident early Tuesday morning, according to a spokesperson for the school district. Jessica Swencki with Brunswick County Schools said bus 245 was rear-ended near the entrance of West Brunswick High School. West Brunswick High School Principal Brock Ahrens reports all students are now in class and that tardies due to the accident have been excused. There were several delays for students, especially at West Brunswick High School, because of a temporary closure to Hwy 130. A dozen students were on the bus at the time; two of whom were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
