The N.C. Highway Patrol says three people are dead after a multi-car accident south of Whiteville.
The N.C. Highway Patrol says three people are dead after a multi-car accident south of Whiteville. Troopers say a driver couldn't complete a pass in a no-passing zone on U.S. 701 Friday night and tried to get back into the lane. That car hit the fender of the vehicle in front of it, causing 78-year-old Furley James Brown to lose control of his car and crash into a third car head-on. Brown died in the collision. Two children in the other car, 13-year-old Brenda Inez Acosta and 8-year-old Brittany Marie Long, were also killed. Three teenagers in the car trying to make the pass suffered minor injuries. A fourth car was struck by debris from the wreck, but no one in that vehicle was hurt.

Brenda Inez Acosta is my daughter & Britney Marie Long is my grandbaby! We all miss them so much everyday is hard to get thru without them here! I dont understand how anyone can have a clear concious knowing they killed 3 people 2 being kids & not take the blame & let someone else take the blame cause they were drunk & how can a mother ask someone to take the blame for their kid that just killed 2 kids I bet if the shoe was on the other foot she wouldnt want that be done to her! Thats fine though God doesnt like ugly & what they did was ugly & they will pay for it! I dont understand how a 19 year old got beer to drink anyway I think beer should be banned cause ppl drive drunk & kill innocent ppl! I love you my 2 babies! I hope y'all sre having fun in Heaven!
