Brewer said EMS heard the driver yell down from the top of the bridge, "Hey! Y'all watch this!" and then jumped.

According to the Wilmington Star News, 20-year-old Forrest Johnson died Sunday evening around 6 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Law enforcement officers are investigating a vehicle that smashed into trees under Snow's Cut Bridge in Wilmington Beach, North Carolina. According to Lt. Jerry Brewer,the driver went off the road and smashed into the trees on Sunday morning. The driver was reportedly not in the vehicle when EMS arrived on scene. The driver was brought to the hospital suffering major injuries. No other information has been released.
