Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol was a factor in an early morning crash that injured three people. The crash occurred about 2:40 a,m on Kellogg Avenue as Steve Wayne Taulbee, 22, was driving east, Hamilton County deputies said. Taulbee changed lanes to the left and lost control of his 1995 Honda Accord. The car left the road and its left side struck a wall, the Honda then bounced off the wall and the front left corner hit a utility pole. Taulbee, of New Richmond, and two passengers in his back seat were injured, deputies aid. Alyssa Couch, 20, was first driven to Anderson Mercy Hospital by her friends, deputies said. She was then flown by University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Air Care. Gregory Forsee, 22, refused medical treatment. Taulbee was taken Anderson Mercy by his mother but was then taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by ambulance Both Taulbee and Couch remained in critical condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center as of Sunday evening. None of the occupants were wearing seat belts. The crash was under investigation Sunday, but deputies said they believe alcohol was involved.
