Butler County corporal suspended after OVI, crash

A high-ranking veteran of the Butler County Sheriff's Office was put on a six-week suspension from his job this week after driving drunk off duty and crashing his car over the weekend, Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced Tuesday.
Reiff was driving under the influence of alcohol and slammed into a parked car, suffering visible facial injuries. He was cited for failing to control his vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and will be required to attend and successfully complete drug and alcohol counseling. Officials say he had a spotless record until now, having never been written up in his almost two decades of service with the Sheriff's Office.
