The incident happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Police said the driver, from Morgan Township, did not see Rhoads, who was wearing dark clothing.
Pedestrian killed crossing a Hamilton street
It appears Rhoads tried to cross Pyramid Hill Boulevard near Carriage Hill Boulevard when he was hit. Rhoads was not in a crosswalk. Police also say he was wearing dark clothing and he failed to yield to traffic.
James Rhoads was trying to cross Pyramid Hill Boulevard, the street he lives on, when he was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Rhoads was reportedly wearing dark clothing and did not cross at a crosswalk. The accident is still under investigation.
