Springboro H.S. student dies after Friday crash

A Springboro High School student has died, days after a crash on the city's western edge.

Springboro Hight School senior student Caleb Baker, 18, died Sunday afternoon from injuries he sustained in one-car crash Friday at 2:45 p.m. on Clearcreek-Franklin Road in Sprinboro. He was brought to Kettering Medical Center, where he died Sunday afternoon. It appears that Baker lost control of his car near 405 Clearcreek-Franklin Road, causing him to strike a mailbox before going airborne and crashing in the woods. Road conditions may have been a factor.
