Benjamin Metzger, 25, and Jeremy Leiter, 24, killed in pickup crash on State Route 18 in Lorain County, Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that Benjamin Metzger, 25, of Litchfield, was driving a pick-up truck east on State Route 18 near Indian Hollow Road at around 12:30 a.m. when he lost control of the car and drove off the side, into an embankment and hit a tree. He and his passenger, Jeremy Leiter, 24, also of Litchfield were declared deceased when emergency crews arrived.
