The impact of the crash severed the driver's side portion of the car. The wheel and door of the woman's Pontiac Grand Am were split from the rest of the car.
The car flipped over and burst into flames, police said. A police officer pulled the woman's body from the burning car.
Officers said there were no stop marks or any other indication the woman tried to stop before her car hit the tree.

Bishop, of Akron, died Feb. 29 after striking a tree on Merriman Road at about 4:45 p.m. Police said she was southbound between Mayfair Road and Sunnyside Avenue when she veered to the left and crossed into the opposite lane, striking the tree and flipping her Pontiac Grand Am.
