Oberlin Police and fire responded to an accident involving two school buses at approximately 12:04 p.m. Thursday.
Oberlin Police and fire responded to an accident involving two school buses at approximately 12:04 p.m. Thursday. Students from Lorain County JVS were being transported back to school from a field trip when the accident occurred. 69 people were on the bus, mostly students. One school bus rear-ended the other bus, causing the accident. The accident happened in front of the Oberlin fire station, making it easy for fire crews to respond. Minor injuries were reported: nine students were taken to Mercy Allen and Amherst hospitals for evaluation. The other students were taken inside of the fire station for evaluation and eventually transported back to school.
